APF beat Nepal Police Club

Armed Police Force (APF) Club registered the first win in the Super Six League of A Division League 2070 BS. APF beat its departmental rival Nepal Police Club (NPC) by 2 goals on Friday. APF veteran forward Ganesh Lawati and Rajendra Rawal were on target for APF to stun NPC to restore some pride in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League.

Nepal Police Club started the match in good note and they almost took an early lead in the 3rd minute of the match but Ganesh Khadka’s free header went inch above the bar. APF got a good chance in the 6th minute but Rajendra Rawal’s kick was superbly cleared by cops’ defender Suraj BK. Cops got the free kick in the 8th minute but Bhola Nath Silwal’s free kick hit the wall. Ganesh Khadka looked ambitious and his ambitious shot was well saved by APF custodian Amrit Chaoudhary in the 10th minute of the match. APF player Jangu Sherpa ran with ball and his quick attempt was well saved by cop’s custodian Ritesh Thapa in the 12th minute. Bhola Nath Silwal gave superb pass to Jumanu Rai and Rai did nice chest control to set up a pass to Dinesh Gurung but Gurung’s powerful stike went wide from the pole in the 15th minute. Rajendra Rawal wasted a good chance in the 17th minute his shot was saved by NPC custodian Ritesh Thapa in the 18th minute. Jangbu Sherpa took a low free kick but Rajendra Rawal did poor finish in the 45th minute. In the second half Bhola Nath Silwal took a kick and Nir Kumar Rai got rebounded ball but his shot went wide outside the box in the 47th minute. Cops wasted another good chance in the 48th minute APF custodian Amrit Choudhary hardly saved the powerful strike of Ganesh Khadka. Custodian Choudhary denied Bhola Nath Silwal’s ball in the 58th minute. APF player Nabin Lama’s good effort from outside the box but went inch above the bar in the 59th minute. APF player Jagbu Sherpa took a superb free kick but free kick was well cleared by Suraj BK in the 63rd minute. NPC custodian Ritesh Thapa well saved Sherpa’s corner kick a minute later. In the 72nd minute Top Bahadur Bista took a brilliant free kick but his free kick was easily saved by NPC custodian Ritesh Thapa. In the 77th minute Ganesh Lawati looked ambitious and his ambitious shot was well saved by custodian Thapa. Ganesh Lawati scored for APF in the 82nd minute to punish the blunder of Suraj BK to put APF 1-0 up. Rajendra Rawal doubled the tally in the 88th minute to put APF 2-0 up. This is the first victory of APF in Super Six League and this is the superb performance of APF in the super six league. With this win APF is unchanged with 22 points and secured the sixth spot and they will receive Rs 5 Lakhs, meanwhile NPC secured fourth place with 26 points and will receive Rs 15 Lakhs.
