Two departmental team won

Nepal Police Club (NPC) ease to a 3-0 wins over Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) while Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club beat struggling Srinath Collection Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 2-1 in the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division League on 2014-01-15.
NPC climbed to fourth place with 10 points, behind NIBL Friends Club only on goal difference. With 12 points from six games, APF raised a place to second with only goal difference separating the departmental team. Among three departmental teams, Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force, APF have good note this season with the arrival of experience coach Krishna Thapa. This is the best performance of APF in A Division League.

In the first match, APF labored hard to beat RCT by 2-1 goals. Ranjana Bista scored brace for APF in the 45+1 minute and 64th minute. Suman Lama cut the deficit for RCT in the 52th minute of the match. Both team played good football from the beginning APF’s Jangbu Sherpa failed to give direction in the 9th minute of the match. RCT’s Roshan Lamichane’s free kick went above the bar in the 15th minute of the match. RCT’s Shekhar Limbu failed to kick the ball in right direction in the 20th minute of the match. APF Nabin Lama kicked went above e the bar in the 21st minute of the match. Ranjan Bista finally score for APF in the injury time (45+1) minute to take 1-0. In the second half, Suman Lama scored for RCT who dodged goalie in the 52th minute of the match.  APF had another move in 56th minute when Jangbu Sherpa’s shot was blocked by RCT’s defenders. Bista scored again in the 64th minute to win over RCT by 2-1. With this result APF have 12 points from seven matches and RCT have single point from equal matches.
In the second match NPC earned as easy 3 points beating JYC by 3 goals. Police took a lead in the 6th minute of the match when Ganesh Khadka’s head kissed the net. NPC played good football and dominant the opponents. NPC skipper and national star forward Jumanu Rai opened his first goal in A Division League 2070  in the 24th minute of the match to double the lead.  NPC playmaker Bhola Silwal was the key of the match creating two goals in the 6th minute for Ganesh Khadka and in the 24th minute for Jumanu Rai and scoring one himself for NPC in the 90th minute of the match from the 20 yard distance. NPC have 10 points from five matches and JYC have 4 points from equal matches.   NPC coach Birat Krishna Shrestha told us that he was happy with the boy’s performance and he also confirmed that his national defender Robin Shrestha will miss a month to recovery the injury. Not only are him, forward Yugol Kishwor Rai, Suman Subedi also injured. JYC coach Kishor KC termed this performance as the worst performance of the current league and he blamed his defenders for this heavy loss.
