2014-01-26
We have observed two best entertaining and competitive matches today in A Division League 2070 at Dasarath Stadium. Both matches ended in 2-2 late dramatically draw. Nepal Police Club and Three Star Club both failed to hold their lead in the second half to play the settlement with Friends Club and Machhindra Club respectively. In the first match Nepal Police Club took a lead in the 29th minute of the match when their young forward Bharat Shah scored for cops utilizing the superb pass from Dipen Shrestha. African recruit Martins canceled their lead in the 42nd minute of the match for Friends Club to punish cops defense Suman Subedi and Dipen Shrestha. Cops took another lead in the 86th minute of the match when Bhola Silwal doubled the tally. But in the 90+1 minute Martins again leveled for Friends to share a point. Friends started the game in good note and they gave pressure to cops. In the 14th minute of the match Jumanu Rai tried his ambitious right footed shot but it was well saved by Friends goalie Ajit Prajapati. Arjun Subbha took a free kick for Friends in the 21st minute of the match but his free kick was well cleared by Dipen Shrestha. In the second half of the match Jumanu Rai almost scored for cops but his shot was well cleared by Raju from goal line. Cops played better game in the second half. This match was very competitive and entertaining. Cops lost the opportunity to close their gap with Manang Marshyagdi and Three Star and with this draw cops have 15 points from nine matches and is 4 points behind Manang on the other hand Friends have 12 points from equal matches.
In the second match Three Star Club also played a settlement match with Machhindra Club. Karna Limbu scored for Machhindra in the 14th minute of the match but African recruit Dodoz equalized the score for Three Star in the 56th minute of the match. Dodoz again scored for Three Star in the 71st minute of the match to take 2-1 lead. But Limbu scored again for Machhindra to level the score. Three Star started the game with good note but conceded the goal due to the mistake done by goalie Kiran Chemjong and his defense. Jagjeet Shrestha’s free kick was well cleared by Ajay BK in the 10th minute of the match. Machhindra’s Rajin Dhimal left footed strike was hardly saved by goalie Chemjong in the 12th minute of the match.  Machhindra took a lead in the 14th minute when Limbu utilized a good pass from Bishal Rai to give early shock to the defending champions. Lions almost doubled their lead but goalie Chemjong nicely saved in the 17th minute of the match.  With this draw Three star have 17 points from nine matches and Machhindra have 15 points from ten matches.
Today we have observed two entertaining and completive matches where big clubs failed to beat mid table club. Mid table teams bravely come back to level the score. Dodoz was the man who scored twice for Three Star Club. Meanwhile Martins was the man who also scored twice for Friends Club. League is for the development of Nepali Football and Nepali Footballer. But what we are   observing is the poor performance of Nepali star and Nepali young players. Among 13 clubs 4 clubs does not have African recruit like Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Ranipokhari Corner Team. And remaining all clubs has African players and they have played crucial role to win for those clubs. Maximum matches the clubs won was due to the presence of African recruit. If Nepali Players are not showing their potentials then this type of league won’t help to develop Nepali Football. ANFA should think again regarding the African recruit. We are not saying that clubs should not hire African players but we should re think the number of African recruits clubs can hire.
