A Division League 2070(2013/14) kick off on 2013/12/30 and 13 A Division Clubs are participating and it will held at Dasarath Stadium. Two matches will play each day and winner team will get Rs 7.5 Million. Top six teams from first round will play in the super six matches.
Three Star Club was defending champion of A Division League 2069 BS and Boys Union Club is a newly promoted team which was relegated some years ago won B Division League and now playing A Division League. Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT) will start this league with 3 points penalty because they did not participate in Ncell Cup 2070 and was also fined Rs 0.5 Million. Three Star, Manang, Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Macchindra Club are considered as league contenders and Macchindra Club is coached by foreign coach. All Nepal Football Association Nepal (ANFA) told that club can only hire four foreign players for this season. Police club is listed with the injury, their newly recruit forward Yugal Kishwor Rai is also injured. Rohit Chand and Bimal Gharti Magar are not playing. This league will be interesting and let’s see who will crown the trophy
Marty's Memorial A Division League kick off today at Dasarath Stadium. In the opening match Manang Marsagdi Club (MMC) thrashed Boys Union Club (BUC) by 1 goal thanks for Sulav Maskey for his superb goal in the 10th minute of the match which was passed by Anil Gurung. BUC who was relegated some year before back again and they performed good football today and it was the same team who was also a runner up of Ncell Cup 2070, who thrashed Three Star and Nepal Army to reach final. MMC on other hand failed to perform as per the expectation. MMC is a team which contains star players like Anil Gurung, Sulav Maskey, Shiva Shrestha failed to utilize the chances they got however they got 3 points which is important in league. With this result MMC have 3 points from 1 match and now BUC should work hard to avoid relegation.
Meanwhile, in the second match played, Nepal Army Club (NAC) beats Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) by 3 goals. Bharat Khawas scored brace and Nawayug Shrestha score a single goal for army men. Khawas opened a score in 54th minute and Nawayug Shrestha double a tally in 59th minute of the match and Khawas double his tally in 89th minute to make score 3-0. JYC was successful to hold army men in first half but they concede goal in 54th minute which was half cleared by JYC’s goalie Bikesh Kuttu and it was well scored by star Bharat Khawas, later Nawayug Shrestha score d a brilliant goal which was his solo effort in the 59th minute and finally again Khawas scored for army in 89th minute and this time also goalie failed to catch goal. With this result army have 3 points from 1 match. Now JYC should work hard to achieve their dream to play super six match.
