Three Star beaten, APF won

Defending champion Three Star Club (TSC) was beaten by Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) in A Division League 2070. In the first match played at Dasarath Stadium, Subash Gurung and Ram Thapa scored a piece of single goal for JYC to beat defending champion.
Three Star played an attacking game in the opening minute of the match when Prakash Budathoki’s header was beautifully saved by JYC goalie Bikesh Kuthu in the 8th minute of the match, they enjoyed 60 percent of ball possession in the first half of the match. Santosh Sahukhala’s shot was rightly judged by goalie Bikesh Kuthu in the 12th minute of the match, again Kuthu was the hero to save Jagjeet Shrestha’s lovely free kick in the 14th minute of the match. JYC first move came in the 16th minute of the match when Subash Gurung’s shot was saved by goalie Kiran Chemjong. Stars played dominating football in the match but they squandered all of them. Santosh Sahukhala scored goal for Three star in the 25th minute of the match but his goal caught offside. JYC’s players were all busy to defend three star’s attack in the first half. In the second half star started attacking football and Prakash Budathoki’s header was hardly saved by goalie Bikesh in the 53rd minute of the match. JYC looked quite charge after first half and their fist good attacked was converted in to goal in the 57th minute of the match when Subash Gurung scored goal who utilized a good pass from Razz Poudel . Three star looked in hurry to level the score after they concede counter goal and Jagjeet Shrestha’s poor shot was saved by goalie in the 64th minute of the match and Santosh Sahukhala’s powerful kick went little wide from the pole in the 68th minute of the match. Ram Thapa’s powerful long ranger shot kissed the net in the 87th minute of the match to secure 3 points for JYC. With this result defending champion has 3 points from two matches and winning team has 3 points from two matches. This is the huge blow for Three star after this loss.
In the second match departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) beat Boys Union Club (BUC) by 2 goals. APF scored a piece of goal from Jangbu Sherpa and Nabin Lama in the first half and second half in the 40th minute and 70 minute respectively. The fist good move was created by BUC forward Ashim Jung Karki in the 16th minute of the match when his shot was beautifully saved by goalie Amrit Chaoudhary. APF’s veteran forward Ganesh Lawati caught offside when he tried to counter move the ball in the 27th minute of the match. Jangbu Sherpa scored for APF in the 40th minute of the match who utilized Santosh Shrestha’s pass to make score line 1-0. APF is playing good football this season with the arrival of experience coach Krishna Thapa. BUC good chance went vain when Akeem Baba Tunde’s shot hit the pole in the 48th minute of the match. APF doubled the tally in the 70th minute of the match when Nabin Lama scored goal and after this goal APF showed beautiful game and looser team did not show the comeback sprit. With this result APF have 6 points from three  matches and BUC have no point from three matches and they are now in relegation zone.
