Machhindra Football Club (MFC) and Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) registered their first win in A Division League 2070. Formal beat Saraswoti Youth Club (SYC) and latter beat Nepal Police Club (NPC) by 2 goals. In the first match, MFC was gifted a goal by SYC when their defender Bobby tried to clear the ball send to his own post in the 57th minute of the match, it was the first suicide goal of the league match. Priyas Gurung doubles the tally for Machhindra in the 76th minute to secure first victory in the league. Bishal Rai A of MFC’s shot was outside the target in the opening minute of the match.
Both teams were busy in midfield battle up to 10th minute of the match. SYC missed the good opportunity in the 17th minute of the match, when Raj Kumar Ghising’s cross went outside the target. After 25th minute of the match both played attacking football but did not utilize the opportunity they got. Jeoly’s free kick was beautifully saved by Machhindra’s goalie in the 37th minute of the match. First half ended a goalless draw. In the second half Machhindra club started an attacking football from starting time when Bishal Rai A’s shot was above the pole in the 46th minute of the match. SYC was unlucky in this match because they concede an own goal in the 57th minute when their defender tried ball to out and it was the turning point of the match after this goal MFC looked more aggressive and they again scored in the 76th minute of the match. With this match MFC have 3 points from two matches and SYC have 1 point from two matches and now pressure to SYC to avoid relegation.
Likewise in the second match, formal league champion Nepal Police Club (NPC) was beaten by 2 goals from the hand of Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT). In the competitive match today Suman Lama scored a goal in 26th minute utilizing the pass from Amar Dangol first half ended in favor of RCT by a goal and NPC looked aggressive in second half but their forwards were blunt in this match they are not scoring the goal. At the end of injury time (90+4) Bhim Darlami of RCT doubled the tally to beat NPC. NPC were unlucky when their captain Jumanu Rai’s shot went above the bar in the 9th minute of the match. Cops goalie beautifully saved Dinesh Thapa’s shot in the 15th minute of the match RCT took a lead in the 26th minute when cops defender failed to clear the ball. RCT played good football in this match after they took a lead and they scored in the injury time of 90+4 minute through Bhim Darlami. With this result NPC have 3 points from two matches and RCT have just 1 point from two matches because RCT start this league with a 3 point penalty and Rs 0.5 million fine due to not participation in Ncell Cup 2070.
