Army and Cops share point, Friends won

Two departmental teams Nepal Army Club (NAC) and Nepal Police Club (NPC) settle for 1-1 draw in A Division League 2070. Tek Bahadur Budhathoki scored for Army men in the 30th minute of the match and Ganesh Khadka equalized the score in 35th minute of the match. Both teams started good football and Ajit Bhandari’s shot was beautifully saved by Army goalie Ganga Ram Deuja in the first minute of the match. Cops goalie Ritesh Thapa easily saved Tek Bahadur’s shot in the 3rd minute of the match. Bhola Nath Silwal’s corner kick was cleared by Army men’s defender in the 8th minute of the match. Police was about to take a lead in the 14th minute but Parbat Panday’s free kick was cleared by Army’s defender. Cops goalie Ritesh Thapa beautifully saved Mahendra Khawas ball in the 18th minute of the match. A superb strike by Tek Bahadur Budhathoki kissed the net in 30th minute of the match but NPC equalized the score in the 35th minute of the match when Ganesh Khadka’s super strike kissed the net to level the score 1-1. In the second half, Parbat Pandey’s superb free kick was hardly punched by goalie Ganga Ram in the 53rd minute of the match. NAC’s forward Bharat Khawas wasted a golden chance in the 75th minute when he received a good pass from Tanka Basnet but Khawas failed to score. This game was competitive and we observed a good match. With this settlement, both have share 1 point and NPC have 7 points from four matches and NAC have also 7 points from equal matches.


In the second match Friends Club (FC) labored hard to beat Machhindra Football Club (MFC) and latter was beaten by a solitary goal which came in an early 9th minute of the match and Bishnu KC scored for FC. First attacking move came from winning team when Susan Lama’s free kick went of the target in the 7th minute of the match. KC scored goal utilizing a superb free kick taken by Deepak Gurung. After the lead they looked aggressive and had another move when Arjun Subbha’s left footed shot went above the bar in the 10th minute of the match. On the other hand Machhindra Club looked dumb after they concede early goal. In the second half MFC looked quite charge and Ajay BK’s free kick hit the post in the 47th minute of the match, they had another good opportunity when Bishal Rai A’s kick was well disturbed by African recruit Peter in the 63rd minute of the match. Friends club looked happy with the score line and they were busy to kill time and defend the ball. In the 68th minute again Bishal Rai A’s kick was beautifully saved by goalie Ajit Prajapati. Machhindra Club’s foreign coach Johan Kalin’s strategy was not working and they failed to equalize the goal. With this win they have 7 points from four matches and other sides have 4 points from four matches.
