Sherpa and MMC won

Himalayan Sherpa Club (HSC) labored hard to beat Boys Union Club (BUC) in A Division League 2070 first match. A solitary goal by Suraj Hamal in the 55th minute of the match was enough to secure Sherpa a valuable 3 points. Sherpa started the game in good note and Heman Gurung’s free kick went outside the box in the 7th minute of the match. Boys Union goalie Raju Yogi looked busy to save Sherpa’s attack in this match and he denied Segun’s shot in the 16th minute of the match. BUC’s forward Ashim Jung Karki and Binod Lama were not creating chances in this match and their team had lost all three previous matches in this league. Sherpa had 65 percent of ball possession but did not create goal scoring chances. Sherpa’s goal was ruled out offside in the 35th minute of the match and this frustrated their players. Finally in the second half HSC broke BUC and Suraj Hamal scored for HSC in the 55th minute of the match who utilized a good pass of Segun. Mountaineers looked confident after that goal and constantly attacked to BUC’s post but goalie Raju Yogi was smart enough to deny their attack. With this result winner side have 4 points from three matches and another side have no point from four matches and they are in pressure to avoid relegation.
Likewise in the second match Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) beat Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) by 4 goals and all goals came from four different players. Deepak Rai, Sulav Maskey, Sujal Shrestha and Yusuff scored for winning team in 9th minute, 51st minute, 83rd minute and 87th minute respectively. MMC took a lead from a wonderful early strike from forward Deepak Rai in the 9th minute of the match. After the lead their forward Rai, and Yona Elias played very attacking football. Sulav Maskey’s kick was cleared by RCT’s Krishna Kunwar in the 14th minute of the match. MMC kept the ball possession and Rai’s header was beautifully saved by RCT’s goalie Prem Tamang in the 29th minute of the match. In the second half of the match playmaker Sulav Maskey utilized Sujal Shrestha’s pass to double the tally for MMC in the 51st minute of the match. After conceding second goal RCT looked frustrated and MMC looked charged and their forward Deepak Rai played good football in this match and had penetrated a lot to RCT’s box in 54th minute, 55th minute and 59th minute of the match. Yona Elias scored for MMC but his goal was rule out offside in the 66th minute of the match. We saw a clerical finish in the 83rd minute of the match when Sujal Shrestha scored for MMC to tripled the lead and finally their African recruit Yusuff utilized Anil Gurung’s pass to make score 4-0. After this win MMC have 9 points from four matches and RCT have 1 point from equal matches. MMC gained the form after they lost in previous match from the hand of Himalayan Sherpa and RCT now have more pressure to avoid relegation.
