Super Six begins from today

After the completion of first league, super six league is going to start from today.  13 A Division clubs had participated in the first league which started from December 3 2013 and ended in February 8 2014. From the first league 2 clubs was relegated namely, Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) and Boys Union Club. Manang Marshyagdi Club tops the table with 26 points from twelve matches followed by Three Star Club, Nepal Police Club, Sankata Club, Machhindra Club and Armed Police Force with 24 points, 22 points, 22 points, 19 points and 18 points respectively. Top six teams are eligible to participate in super six league.

First round summary:

Each club played 12 matches two clubs are relegated namely Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) and Boys Union Club (BUC). RCT started the league with 3 points penalty owing not to participate in Ncell Cup 2013. BUC was the runner up of Ncell Cup 2013 but they did not show the same performance in this league. League leader Manang Marshagdi Club (MMC) is a team which scored more goals and conceded fewer goals (23 goals forward and 5 goals against). Nepal Police Club (NPC) scored 22 goals followed by Three Star Club with 19 goals. BUC was the team which score fewer goals and conceded more goals (8 goals forward and 32 goals against). Nepal Army Club was the draw specialist with 7 draw out of 12 matches. BUC was beaten by NPC by 9 goals was the highest score in this league. Three players scored hat-trick namely Sankata Club player Olawale, NPC player Bholanath Silwal, MMC player Anil Gurung. The last match between MMC and Three Star Club attracted more than 20000 speculators in Dasarath Stadium.

Super six rounds are going to be interesting and tough every team will work hard enough to win Rs 7.5 million cash prize. We cannot predict that it will win this league or not. Though MMC is 2 points cleared but they are not free enough in this super six league they have to work hard and their rock solid defender Mbile Stephen is injured, experienced midfielder Nabin Neupane will miss first round. Three Star Club also missed shrap and creative forward Dodoz due to injury.
