RCT and Boys Union relegated from A Division

2014-02-2
A Division League 2070 resumes after a break of one day and today we have observed two matches and two teams were relegated to B Division League. Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) one of the oldest and six times league champion was relegated today after they loss from Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) by a solitary goal which came in the 85th minute and Ram Thapa was the goal scorer for JYC.   Not much action in this match both teams had the pressure of relegation. JYC had to earn at least a single point from this match whereas; RCT had to win this game.  The first half was belongs to RCT and they tried to score goals but failed to utilize the chances. Subash Lama’s free kick in the 7th minute was easily saved by JYC goalie Bikesh Kuthu. In the second half JYC looked aggressive and they had penetrated enough to RCT. In the 85th minute Ram Thapa scored for JYC who utilized Elvis pass. With this result JYC is in 9th position with 13 points from eleven matches meanwhile RCT is second from the bottom of the table with 4 points from eleven matches and RCT is relegated from A Division League. RCT was the oldest football club in Nepal and they won record holding six times league along with Manang Marshyagdi Club. What had happened to RCT this season they are sponsored by Srinath Collection and also had regular earning from the house. We think that something had happened to RCT team management and one think also added misery to them the 3 points from penalty due to not playing Ncell Cup 2070. RCT coach Madhu Karki told us that they will return to play A Division after some years.
In the second match, Nepal Police Club (NPC) hammered already relegated team Boys Union Club (BUC) by 9 goals which is the highest goal for this league in single match. A hatrick from Bholanath Silwal, brace from Dipen Shrestha and Bharat Shah apiece of goal from Ajit Bhandari and Ganesh Khadka gave a big win for cops. Cops took a lead in the 7th minute when Dipen Shrestha utilized a good pass from Bholanath Silwal. Bharat Shah doubled the tally in the 28th minute who utilized Silwal’s pass. Bhola Silwal added another goal in the 38th minute. Ganesh Khadka scored in the 41st minute to make score 4-0. In the second half cops added 5 more goals and Bharat Shah, Dipen Shrestha, Ajit Bhandari and Bholanath Silwal were on target in the 49th minute, 65th minute, 67th minute, 79th, 89th minute respectively. BUC was hopeless in this match as they were already relegated from A Division when RCT beaten by Jawalakhel and BUC did not play good football match in this match. From this win cops moved to third position with 19 points with a game in hand meanwhile BUC is on the bottom of the table with 4 points. Cops have the great chances to play super six with this win and NPC coach Birat Krishna Shrestha added that, we are optimistic about super six but we need to wait the results of other matches.
