APF beat Saraswoti Youth Club to enter quarterfinal

Departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) came from behind to beat Saraswoti Youth Club (SYC) by 3-2 goals to enter quarterfinal of 5th Simara Gold Cup 2014 at Simara Stadium on Friday.
Tanku Lama and Pius scored for SYC in the 10th minute and 68th minute respectively before Palsang Lama, Jangbu Sherpa and Nabin Lama scored a piece of goal for APF in the 71st minute, 82nd minute and 99th minute respectively.

Bijaya Gurung scored twice for winning team in the 2nd minute and 87th minute to enter quarterfinal of the tournament. Manang Marshyagdi Club (MMC) beat departmental team Nepal Police Club (NPC) by 5 goals to enter the final of 12th Aaha Rara Gold Cup 2014 on Thursday. Hat-trick from Sujal Shrestha and a piece of goal from Anil Gurung and Yona Elias helped MMC to win an easy match against NPC. It was NPC who started the match in good note but Bhola Nath Silwal did not utilize a corner kick in the 3rd minute. Cops player Dipen Shrestha gave a superb pass to Bharat Shah in the 6th minute but latter failed to hold the ball properly. Ganesh Khadka looked ambitious and his ambitious shot was well blocked by MMC defender Saheed in the 7th minute.
