Nepal Police Club enter in to semi- finals

Departmental team Nepal Police Club (NPC) made it to the semi- finals of the 12th Aaha Rara Gold Cup 2014 after an easy 2-0 win over Dharan Football Club (DFC) on Sunday at Pokhara. Forward Bharat Shah netted his first in fine fashion in the 8th minute before he doubled his tally in the 15th minute.

Sahara Football Club enters semifinal

A solitary goal from African player Victor helped Sahara Football Club (SFC) to beat departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) in 12th Aaha Rara Gold Cup 2014 played today at Pokhara.  In the competitive match it was Sahara Club who started the match in good note and Ashim Jung Karki a loan player from Boys Union Club almost got good chance but he was fouled by APF player Jagbu Sherpa in the 2nd minute. SFC created several chances and Peter Segun was smart enough to beat two APF defenders but his shot went inch above the post in the 8th minute.

Sankata Club beat Jawalakhel Youth Club

A solitary goal from Bikram Lama helped CMG Sankata Club (SC) to beat Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) in the fourth match played today at Pokhara in 12th Aaha Rara Gold Cup. In the competitive match it was Sankata Club who started the match in good note and Martins came closer to the goal but his shot went little wide from second bar in the 1st minute. The first good attempt from Jawalakehl Club came in the 5th minute but Pradeep Maharjan failed to utilize the chance. Bijaya Dhimal’s cross was well headed by Komal Khawas in the 10th minute but his attempt went little above the bar. Sankata Club played a fantastic football and Bikram Lama scored through header utilizing a cross off Bijay Dhimal to beat JYC custodian Birendra Bahadur Chand to make 1-0 up. After conceding the silly goal Jawalakhel Club tried to play some attacking football and their skipper Pradeep Maharjan tried his long ranger shot but Sankata’s custodian Pierre easily saved his shot in the 25th minute.

In the third match played today between 1st RGR Brunei Football Team ( RGR) and Saraswoti Youth Club (SYC) at Pokhara, latter beat formal by 2-5 goals in the very competitive match. The match was delayed by 15 minute due to technical problem.

Dharan FC beat Nepal Army Club

In the second match played today Dharan Football Club (DFC) beat departmental team Nepal Army Club (NAC) by 2-1 goals to enter the quarterfinal of the Aaha Rara Cup 2014 played on today at Pokhara. African player Segun Akinade scored both goals for winning team and Raju Tamang scored a solitary goal for departmental side.

APF beat Nepal U-16 Team to enter quaterfinal

In the first match played today departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) beat Nepal U-16 at Pokhara in 12th Aaha Rara Gold Cup 2014. Latter beaten by 4-2 in spot kick battle. Teams ended the regular match in 1-1 draw, it was Nepal U-16 who took an early lead in the 15th minute of the match through Anjan Bista but Ranjan Bista leveled the score in the 35th minute for APF.

Red Bull A Division League 2070 BS summary

Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) clinched seventh league title of Red Bull A Division League on Saturday after 8 years. MMC ended the league with a losing note but they were already secured the first spot with on match in hand. The winner MMC received Rs 75 Lakhs and also get chance to represent Nepal in AFC President’s Cup qualifiers. Meanwhile the surprise packages of A Division, Machhindra Football Club (MFC) secured the second spot and received Rs 45 Lakhs. Defending champions Three Star Club, Nepal Police Club, Sankata Club and Armed Police Force received Rs 25 lakhs, Rs 15 Lakhs, Rs 7 Lakhs and Rs 5 Lakhs respectively.

Three Star beat Manang Marshyangdi Club

Defending champions Three Star Club (TSC) beat league champions Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) by 2-1 goals in the very competitive match played on Saturday at Dasarath Stadium. Santosh Shahukhala scored the both goals for winning team through spot kick in the 10th minute and 43rd minute of the match and Anil Gurung was the goal scorer for MMC in the 32nd minute.

APF beat Nepal Police Club

Armed Police Force (APF) Club registered the first win in the Super Six League of A Division League 2070 BS. APF beat its departmental rival Nepal Police Club (NPC) by 2 goals on Friday. APF veteran forward Ganesh Lawati and Rajendra Rawal were on target for APF to stun NPC to restore some pride in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League.

Machhindra Football Club secured second place

Machhindra Football Club (MFC) confirmed their second spot in the A Division League 2070 BS beating CMG Sankata Club (SC) by a solitary goal, which was superbly scored by leading goal scorer of A Division League 2070 BS, Karna Limbu in the 59th minute of the match. Limbu scored his 11th goal of the tournament to lead his team to this glory.
