Qatar earned first ever point

 Asian country and 2022 World Cup host nation Qatar earned their first ever FIFA World Cup points with a dramatic 1-1 draw against stubborn nation Switzerland on 13th of June 2026. Qatar had lost all three matches even being a host nation. 

Breel Embolo scored for Switzerland through penalty kick on 17th Minute and Qatar equalized in the stoppage time and it was an own goal by M Muheim. The result was especially notable because Switzerland dominated much of the game, registering 26 shots, but Qatar's resilience earned them their first point ever at a World Cup finals.

It was a pride result for Asian country and in Group A, another Asian Giant South Korea secured 3 points beating Cheque Repulica.
