Looking at the above table, Nepal Police Club is the most successful Nepali club in AFC President Cup. Nepal Police Club is the only side from South Asia to reach final of the tournament. Nepali star forward Ramesh Budhathoki was the hero of the tournament who score a winning goal against three times champions Reger Tadaz in semi final of the match. Can current league leader make all Nepal and Nepali proud as Nepal Police Club and Ramesh Budhathoki, Ritesh Thapa, Jumanu Rai and Ananta Thapa did it in 2007 AD.
Ramesh Budathoki, Jumanu Rai and Ritesh Thapa were the pillar during the competition and Nepal Police Club was able to reach final and beat Tadaz in semi final.
ReplyDeleteIt was the era, when Ritesh Thapa, Jumanu Rai were rise and shined for Nepal Police Club and Ramesh Budathoki was the main hero for NPC, his contribution to Nepali football was great but I was shocked he was not utilized by National Coach in international tournament.
ReplyDeleteA memorable moment for Nepal occurred when Nepal Police Club entered the Final of the tournament, beating three-time champions Reger Tadaz and Ramesh Budathoki. Ramesh Budathoki played a heroic role for Nepal while Jumanu Rai and Ritesh Thapa supported him to achieve such a moment.
